Brown Goldstone

Brown Goldstone can help to attain one's goals, stay calm and stabilize the emotions. It can be used as an energy generator and can deflect unwanted energies, making it useful as a protective stone. Brown Goldstone is also used for long distance healing and revitalizing one's energy field. This stone is actually a manmade glass with octahedral-shaped copper crystals suspended in it – the molten glass is heated to such high temperatures that the original granules of copper oxide that are added dissolve and then as the melt cools slowly the copper ions have time to find each other and form the 8-sided copper crystals that create the amazing sparkle effect. The color of the glass used in Brown Goldstone is colorless – the reddish color comes from the reflection of the copper crystals within it.
With the inclusion of these copper crystals, Goldstone has many of the metaphysical properties of copper, including the strengthening of the circulatory system and bones, and the easing of arthritic pain. The oldest use of goldstone is dated to the 12th or early 13th century and was found in an amulet excavated in Iran.
